What we can do right now

We’re here for you, whether you’re ready to leave, not sure what to do, or simply need to talk it through.
We can help you find safety tonight or support you to make a plan for the days ahead.

Our immediate support includes:

  • Safe housing for wāhine and tamariki who can’t stay where they are.

  • Crisis advocacy to help with Police, WINZ, Oranga Tamariki, or legal processes.

  • Safety planning tailored to your situation and what you need to feel secure.

  • Support for children and young people, including emotional and practical help.

  • Access to safety devices like monitored alarms or watches for women at high risk of repeat harm.

If you’re unsure which option is right for you, that’s okay, we’ll work it out together.

What to expect when you contact us

When you reach out, you’ll be connected with one of our experienced advocates.

They will take time to listen to what’s happening for you, explain your options clearly, and support you to decide what feels right.

If you live with a disability, health condition, injury, neurodivergence, are Deaf, or require communication or access support, please let us know in whatever way feels comfortable.

We will work with you to remove barriers wherever possible.

You will never be told what to do.

You are the expert on your own life.

We can help you whether you decide to leave, stay, or simply plan for safety in your current situation.

We can work with you:

  • In a crisis, when things feel urgent.

  • Over the long term, while you rebuild confidence and independence.

  • In person, at one of our offices or safe houses.
