We’re here for you every hour of every day.

A safe space when you need it most

At Waitomo Waipā Women’s Refuge, we believe every woman and child has the right to choose what safety looks like for them.

We provide practical help, education, advocacy, and refuge, walking alongside you as you take your next steps towards a life free from harm.

Whether you’re thinking about leaving, trying to stay safe where you are, or simply needing to talk through your options, we’ll meet you where you’re at.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Family violence isn’t always physical

It can look like control, fear, or isolation.
If you ever feel unsafe, unsure, or silenced, reach out.

There is no judgment here.

Our advocates can help with:

Safety planning for you and your tamariki

Crisis accommodation

Advocacy with WINZ, Oranga Tamariki, legal or health services

Emotional support and education programmes

Our Region

We cover rural, coastal, and town communities from Mōkau to Cambridge, including Te Kūiti, Kāwhia, Benneydale, and Te Awamutu.

We are part of the National Collective of Independent Women’s Refuges, which means we work locally but are connected to a network of refuges across Aotearoa.

You can be part of the change

Family violence affects us all, and community support makes a real difference
