Have you been exposed to, or experienced family violence?
Family Violence is an attempt to control someone using fear, intimidation and abuse. It can take many forms including:
Physical, verbal, emotional, sexual or spiritual abuse.
Preventing you from accessing money.
Threatening to have your children taken away.
Stopping you from working or seeing family or friends.
Family violence is abuse from anyone you are in a close personal relationship with such as an intimate partner, a family member, your child or parent or someone who is your caregiver.
Family violence can happen in any home regardless of culture, ethnicity or income.
Survivors of family violence may be in same-sex relationships, transgender or non-binary. No one deserves to be abused and family violence is never ok.
